Apple Calendar widget not syncing

When I create or update a calendar event on one device, the widget on my other devices is not updating. I use the same Apple ID everywhere and have the latest OS installed on both my iPad Air 5 and iPhone 13. I have removed the calendar app, tried the language change, logged out and in on my iCloud account and have forced rebooted my devices. This was all to no avail. Synchronising is set to ‘all’ and ‘push’. The calendar widget is updating when I open the calendar app, but that defeats the purpose of a widget.

Please advise.

Thank you, but that’s not the issue here. I only have one account, which is my iCloud. I have no problem synchronising the calendar app on my iPad when I create or update an event on my iPhone (or vice versa). The issue is that the calendar widget itself isn’t refreshing on my other device. The calendar widget only displays updates on my home screen when I open the calendar app.

You may have the same Apple or a different Apple ID that doesn't;t make any difference. The question is where are your Calendar events stored?

Where is the calendar events stored on your iPhone? Please add the email account, that's it.

When you add events to the Calendar it gets added to the Default Calendar set on your device.
