Importing 4K 10bit video problems

Importing 4K 10bit video problems (from GH5 and GH5s)

I am learning DaVinci Resolve as an alternative to Expensive Adobe products.

I'm working on a 2015 Macbook Pro, 16 GB Ram i7. I have no problem importing my video clips (GH5s, 4K, 10 bit, all i frames) into my Macbook pro. It is jerky and slow because of my old machine but they import fine. I can not get these same files to import into DaVinci Resolve on my PC. (My PC is a much more powerful machine: 64 Ram, High end graphics card). I built the PC to use as my normal video editing machine. I have not been able to figure out why the import works on one machine and not the other.

BTW this happened on DaVinci Resolve "17" and it is the same on "18".
