iPhone and car speaker volume

I have an iPhone 13. It was working fine when paired in car but now when making or receiving calls I can barely hear the caller thru the car speaker I have tried everything. Repairing with car blue tooth, ensuring all software updates are in both Toyota and on my phone, checking all volume settings, etc. other folks phone volume works fine when paired with my car. What could be the problem?

Hello Catdarr,

We understand that you're having issues with the audio volume for calls when connected to your vehicle stereo via Bluetooth. Thanks for letting us know that both your iPhone and the firmware for your vehicle are up to date. We'd like to start by asking a few questions that might help isolate the cause of this issue.

  • When connecting your iPhone to other Bluetooth devices (speaker, headphones, etc.), do you experience the same issue with call volume?
  • Have you noticed any difference in the audio levels for other features, like music or podcasts, when connected to your vehicles stereo system?
  • You mentioned testing other iPhones, were they the same model iPhone and iOS version? If different model iPhones, were they at least using the same iOS version?

Best regards.
