Keynote has a problem with my font cache and is running slow

Is there a reason why Keynote can't seem to load fonts? Every time I go to the font selection dropdown Keynote practically crashes. I do have a lot of additional fonts installed in my system but it's ridiculous how keynote can't seem to handle it but every other application can. What am I missing? Is there a setting that would help keynote load font faces better? I have an Apple M1 Max with 64 gb of memory...this really shouldn't be a problem.

Since this is an issue with the application itself, and it seems to be having issues loading certain content like fonts; we'd recommend reaching out to Apple directly to look into this with you further. You can do that from here: Apple Support
