Time Machine backup

After this last software update, to version 12.5, Time Machine is not deleting automatically the oldest backups to do it as always. Usually when appears the message " Backup not Completed...There isn't enough space on SSD ", soon after the Backup proceeds... Not anymore.

Any help would be great.

Thank you

Mac mini, macOS 12.5

Do you have another External Drive - just for Testing purposes - does the same behaviour occur ?

If yes, suggest putting the Existing Eternal Drive aside for safe keeping and use the Test Drive henceforth.

Yes, TM Backup should delete Older Snap Shots but sometime it just does not

If the Test Drive does Not work - the issue may not the the External Drives but rather the Internal Drive does not have enough Empty Space to handle addition TM Backup Snap Shots
