cancelled education order

I can't contact apple for awhile so I'm asking this here if anyone knows. I ordered the base m2 macbook air with a 16gb upgrade through the education shop with the gift card promotion, but I changed my mind and wanted to stick with 8gb. So I cancelled the order and saw that I would not be charged for the gift card and the macbook, but I was already charged for the gift card. My question is will I be getting a refund for the gift card or was this an error?
