Search results are WRONG! clicking on results goes to wrong files! Solution found!

When I would search for a file, it would return many results that were wrong. I would search for an mp4 movie, but the result (which said it was an mp4) would open a jpg! Many files only showed up as aliases. I found that I could correct all the indexing by going to system preferences, choosing Spotlight, then choosing the Privacy tab, then dragging in all of my drives, highlighting them, and then hitting "-" to remove them. Then Spotlight automatically re-indexes those drives, and all the correct files showed up in searches!
