Apple tv download error -16240 on macOS
I am trying to download an episode on macbook pro and keep getting error -16240. Is there a workaround?

Are you using a VPN or any security software? If so try disabling it or you can try downloading in safe mode to see if any third-party software is interfering: Start up your Mac in safe mode.
You can also see if the issue is isolated to your network by testing on another Wi-Fi network.
