How do I renew the Apple Care service?
I have followed the link in the email from apple to purchase an additional year of applecare+ but I am sent around in circles. How do I make the purchase?

To be honest, the samething happened to me on my previous MBP. Extending ApleCare+ after the initial 3 years (for Macs) is completely new. At one time it was 3 years, then no option to renew.
I ended up just calling Apple Support and was able to figure it out. You might benefit from doing the same.
