AirPods with 2 apple IDs

I have the AirPods Pro with my iPhone and iPad and the connect back and forth depending on what I am using. I will be getting a work iPhone with a different apple ID. Can I connect the same AirPods to the new phone/ID and they connect back and forth like my current iPhone and iPad do? Or do I need to try and use the same apple ID? I am trying to avoid having work contacts and pictures syncing to my personal devices if I use the same apple ID

Hi awymer0410,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. For your AirPods to switch devices automatically, all devices will need to be signed in with the same Apple ID. You can still manually switch your AirPods between devices that use different Apple IDs though. Check out Switch your AirPods to another device - Apple Support which mentions this.

Take care.
