watchOS 8.7 ECG issues

Yesterday I've updated my apple watch series 6 to watchOS 8.7 and I've been experiencing issues with the ECG app since then. The app only detects my finger in certain crown positions - I have to rotate it and find those sweet spots, or it does not detect my finger at all. The app just shows the "Place your finger..." message and the heart animation. Is anybody else experiencing this issue?

Yes, I've cleaned my watch thoroughly.

Yes I've restarted it.

Yes I've deleted and reinstalled the ECG app.
