I have two iPhones that both have different Apple IDs. Each unique Apple ID is associated with a different email address and connected to only one of the two devices. However, my contacts keep syncing with one another. How do I stop this from happening?
Yes, I had an outlook account with contacts synced to both phones. Unsyncing this account on one phone resolved the issue. Thank you!
For anyone else experiencing the same issue, go to settings > mail > accounts, select the account that is linked to both phones, then untoggle “contacts”.

In normal cases, this should not happen as it is a huge security issue. However, is there a third-party app on both phones that have access to the contacts and keeps them in sync?
Could they both be signed into the same third party email account in Mail, gmail for instance, and contacts is turned on for that service? That would cause the same contacts to appear on both devices. Just a thought!
