We upgraded a notebook to Monterey 12.4.
Its bluetooth immediately failed after the update (cannot be switched on/activated anymore).
The console displays:
bluetoothd SetPowerState failed: BT_ERROR_NOT_IMPLEMENTED 'Power on failed''
MacbookPro Retina, 13.inch Early 2015, upgraded directly to 12.4
Are there any news on this issue?
NOT IMPLEMENTED is no indication of a hardware issue!

After resetting the NVRAM followed by the upgrade to 12.5 Monterey bluetooth started working again. First devices showed up only as HEX numbers. Then after deleting them devices were found by name and it started working again. Thanks for the hints.
Trying resetting NVRAM.
Keep holding down Command-Option-P-R while starting your mac and let the startup chime sound some four or five times, then release the keys and let your mac finish the startup, and see if there is any change.

Hardware from 2015 in 2022 = 7 year old machine. It may or may not be showing its' age as hardware is starting to acting up

Age related problems should not show up directly after an upgrade with the a console message "not implemented".
And exactly the fact that 7 years old hardware is still working perfectly and reasonably fast is one of Apple's USP and makes the high price tag compared to the competition worth.
Good, the SMC or NVRAM reset fixed the issue and all is good.
IMHO - 7 year old machine, the number of UpGrades this computer has experienced in its' lifetime tends to bear out certain inevitable facts.
