Error message setting up printer

Just bought my mother a new iMac. Trying to add the printer through wi-fi. Two other computers are connected and working. The printer shows up in the add printer section as well as the fax. Was able to add the fax portion just fine. Every time I try to add the printer I have to choose a driver. I pick the one that aligns with the printer and then I get a message. An error occurred while trying to add the selected device. Epson WF-2750. If I try to print I can select from nearby printers and it attempts to prepare and then says an error occurred while trying to add the selected printer.

iMac (24-inch, M1, 2021, 2 ports)

Hi,

The Epson WF-2750 is listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support as a model supporting the driverless AirPrint technology. This means that it can be used without having to install additional drivers, provided that the printer and the Mac computer(s) are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router). Printing from an iPhone or iPad on the same network would be possible as well (without an extra app).

Has the printer been tested with AirPrint, or are drivers from Epson used for printing?

In case of a problem with AirPrint, and if all settings are OK, you may want to try the following procedure (in the exact order):

Power off the Wi-Fi router, the printer, the Mac computer(s), and all other devices/computers. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the Mac computer(s). Finally, power on all other devices/computers.
