One of my air pods was stolen I have one but unable to locate other , help please

One of my 2nd gen air pods was stolen , I may have an idea where it’s at , I have one and the case , I’ve used the find my app but it only shows location my location and sound for one pod , when I switch it to the other it closes down , help
