IPad auto lock greyed out

The auto-lock button in Display and Brightness on my iPad (iPad 12.9 inch 4th gen) is greyed out. I have already checked that I DO NOT have low power mode enabled in Battery Settings. I have also checked that I DO NOT see the Profiles and Device Management option under Settings —> General. Please help! This is driving me nuts!! This started happening a week ago.

You have definitely tried some great troubleshooting here. Checking for a profile was a solid step. Since you don't seem to have one, we'd advise visiting Contact Apple Support.
