Sticky key functionality lost with Monter… - Apple Community
The safe mode method worked for me once but not again since. I have carpal tunnel syndrome and REALLY need this function. Any other ideas?

Try the Safe Mode boot a couple of time.
If still a problem slog into a new, basic, admin user account, Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac, and see if the problem persists. This tells us if the problem is limited to your user account or is system wide.

There may be some software conflict that is preventing things from working.

You mean sticky keys are set in the preferences, but do not work?
You can try turning the setting off, restarting and then turning it back on.
Sorry for my delay -- I've attempted multiple safe mode reboots and my multiple user accounts and the problem persists.
