Is there any way to set up visual voicemail on an iPhone XR on Consumer Cellular? I’ve gotten opposite answers depending on who answers the phone. What I have now is 1990s-quality answering machine masquerading as voicemail. Seems odd this wasn’t mentioned on any of the rave reviews I read before switching to CC.

Checking on their site, I don't see any mention to visual voicemail.
Typically, you can see a transcription under the voicemail number when you click on the voicemail tab in the phone app.
I currently use T-Mobile that allows this feature and is not something I can turn on or off in any settings.
Check the voicemail in the phone app, and if you don't see it when you select the voicemail phone number, I do not believe it's a feature available through Consumer Cellular.
I did see this list but guess I’ll have to find the unicorn tech person at CC who can make it happen. I’ve heard tell of people getting it to work. What they offer otherwise is horrid.
Yes, I had done all that before asking. It’s just taking me a bit to come to terms with the dinosaur CC calls voicemail. It’s like a cassette answering machine.
