Notifications sporadically not being received on Apple Watch

I’m having trouble with notifications on my Apple Watch series 7. It seems to randomly stop receiving notifications that it has done previously. There are no connection issues and do not disturb is always off. This keeps happening, hard reset won’t work and I have rest both my iPhone and Watch and this hasn’t helped either. Sometimes notifications come through and sometimes they don’t, very frustrating!
