Sending emails using mail merge on pages + Mail app
With the new update, I can produce mail merge by using numbers spreadsheets, that's ok. But I can not just send emails by using mail app like I can do in outlook right?

I doubt that you should take the term "Mail merge" to the full implication of involving Apple Mail. If you need to automatically Mail your mail merge efforts, then Word/Excel/Outlook is likely the only game in town.
