Different sound quality - iPhone X Mac - AirPods 3rd gen

I know it sounds weird but I noticed a difference on the quality while playing songs on my Mac and my iPhone, both using AirPods 3rd gen.

In general I could say that I notice a slightly better quality while playing it on my Mac, but in some songs the difference in the quality is super notable. In the song Kiss It Better (Rihanna's), for example, there is much more bass while playing on iPhone, but less on Mac (which sounds more "clear", by the way). The equalizer and enhancer on both were turned off.

I'm not crazy, the difference is notable in this song, as I said. Just wanted to know why is that.
