Apple TV audio output keeps changing and I have no sound

Power outage. Apple TV no audio. Reset device. I have a Sony Bravia using a Sonos Beam. Audio output says default "Receiver/speakers" but no sound unless I manually set to the Beam. If I pause a show using Apple TV, the sound quits. I can't get the audio output to revert to TV speakers. (It doesn't come up as a choice.). If I unplug the Beam, the Apple TV sound works through the tv speakers.). Also the Apple remote, which worked with the Sonos before, will no longer control the Beam when viewing show via Apple TV.

Does the issue seem to happen if you adjust the audio format to another option? This page can help with that, if needed: Play audio in Dolby Atmos or surround sound on your Apple TV - Apple Support

Also, try using a different HDMI cable to see if that helps as well. Similarly, try changing the port the Apple TV is connected to, just to rule out any issues with the current one.

Double-check that both tvOS and the firmware of the Sony TV are updated as well. This link can help with updating tvOS: Update your Apple TV
