Alcatel Link Key IK40VD on a Mac 12.0.1 via RNDIS

Hi Guys

I have a Alcatel Link Key IK40 RNDIS USB modem that works well with Windows and Linux. I tried connecting it to my Mac 12.0.1 and the device is detected but neither captive portal nor default browser opens up to initiate an internet connection.

I see there is a HoRNDIS package available for 10.11 and up. Has anybody managed to install this and make Alcatel IK40 work with 12.0.1

According to this, it's a Microsoft proprietry protocol for Windows, Linux and FreeBSD: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RNDIS

New macOS versions contain bug fixes, security upgrades, sometimes new features and feature upgrades and generally a better user experience. For these reasons alone, I always suggest an upgrade. Especially because of enhanced security if for no other reason.

If macOS 12.0.1 doesn't support RNDIS, and you think it should, that support is going to be in a later version, if it's anywhere.
