I want to clear my mac and then reinstall it with the new MAC software

If your Mac is compatible with Monterey, you can upgrade and not go through all the erasing and reinstalling.
Does the reference article say your Mac is illegible to install Monterey? If not, you can't install it on a clean disk or upgrade.
