Screen Damage to new Macbook Pro

I just bought a new Macbook Pro and not even two weeks later a verticle line appeared down my screen. The guys at the repair shop said I need a new screen but it will cost me a good amount. Is there anyway I can claim a new screen off Apple if it's a brand new Macbook?

Depends on whether it appears to be accidental damage (such as closing too hard or crushing the display). If it doesn't have any signs of being abused, then it could be repaired under the one year limited warranty.
