apple watch smell

there's plenty online about the watch band smelling like vinegar or cheese... however, I'm convinced that the smell is coming from the watch itself. the band can easily be detached and washed and the smell goes away.

How do you get rid of the smell coming from the inside of the watch? I'm sure the water gets in through the cracks and it's all moldy inside. do you have to eject the water out of the watch every time you get near some water? that can prevent it, maybe..... but how to get rid of the smell now that it SMELLS???

it leaves my wrist smelling so bad. makes me want to vomit!
