Thanks for the reply … but again how are you signing-in here?
We’re asking because IF you have a trusted device protected by a passcode and already signed-in … you can change your AppleID password w/o actually knowing it.

That's unfortunate but thanks for replying; it explains a lot.
I did that and got a code to my phone and e-mail and it said they would send me an email in 24 hours. It’s been 5 days

If you don’t know your AppleID password, how are you signing-in here?

I did that, verified email, phone, and credit card
Apple ID forgot.com Used my phone number, email, and credit card on file to no avail
It makes me enter my password to even get into the part to change the password
