Screen Record Sound Problem via AirPods

Per How to record the screen on your Mac, some web sites or apps will not allow you to record their windows. With that in mind, we've got some additional questions that will help to isolate this further.

Do you experience the same behavior when recording other websites or apps?

How about if you use the internal microphone for your Mac instead of your AirPods?

It may help to check the settings for your AirPods microphone. The article here can help: Change the settings of your AirPods and AirPods Pro

Specifically the section that states the following.

"Set Microphone to left, right, or automatic

There's a microphone in each AirPod, so you can make phone calls and use Siri. By default, Microphone is set to Automatic, so that either of your AirPods can act as the microphone. If you're using only one AirPod, that AirPod will be the microphone.

You can also set Microphone to Always Left or Always Right. You can also set Microphone to Always Left or Always Right to always have either the right or the left AirPod use the microphone even if you remove it from your ear or put it in the case."

You can also test the microphone on your AirPods by recording a Voice Memo. Create a recording on Mac - Apple Support
