@Smilin-Brian pretty much covered what you should review and try to get your MacBook working again. I just wanted to add that the screen your Mac is displaying is indicating that it is in Internet Recovery mode. This typically would occur if your notebook could not locate a functional operating system and/or a bootable drive. It can also be initiated by holding down <option><command><R> immediately after applying power.
