Hi! Does anyone know the essential difference between 8core GPU and 10 core GPU?
Well, the difference between the number of GPU cores in general.
I'm planning to get new MacBook Air M2 and can't decide whether there is a point in paying more for 10GPU instead of 8 GPU.
if it matters - a bit of background - I don't use it for any gaming or smth of that sort. Just working/ studying - multiple apps opened.

And understand that what you buy is all you'll ever have. RAM and disk storage are not upgradable after purchase. Do plan for future needs.
If you're not intending to use the new MacBook Air for graphics intensive workloads for the foreseeable future, then the 8 core GPU should be sufficient enough to satisfy your needs. Using apps such as Microsoft Office, Safari, or even watching videos do not require a higher performance GPU.
