No service on physical sim after eSim installed

Hi all,

after i have swapped to eSim on my Iphone 12 pro max i am having problem to use my sim slot for other physical sim cards. No matter what mobile network provider i use, my phone can’t provide service from them. I can see the dual sim in the settings. And my phone can recognise the provider (giffgaff or lebara, etc) but there is no service on my phone.

The eSim works perfectly.

One number at a time can use cellular data. Whichever SIM is not in use will show No Service. To change which number uses cellular data, follow these steps: 


  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap either Cellular or Mobile Data.
  3. Tap Cellular Data. 
  4. Tap the number you want to use cellular data.
