sending website link from iPad not working

When I try to send a link from a website using Safari on my iPad Air 2, a dialogue box opens saying "loading" but it never loads. I've looked at every setting that might impact that function and can't identify any issues. This is a brand new iPad (last week). Would appreciate any thoughts.

Is this happening with any link you try to share from Safari? We want to see if this is happening anytime you try or with a specific link, which can help determine possible next steps.


You could see if restarting your iPad Air could help: Restart your iPad - Apple Support Restarting may seem like a simple step, but it can refresh iPadOS and could resolve this issue.


Another step you can take is to ensure your iPad Air is fully updated, to see if that may help as well. You can check for an update in Settings > General > Software Update. If there is an available update, you'll want to backup before updating as seen in here: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Thanks for the follow-up info. Let's look into this a little further. Are you trying to share these Safari links via AirDrop, Messages, Mail, or a third-party app like Facebook or Twitter? Do you have another browser installed on the iPad? If so, are you able to share links from that browser? Get back to us with that info, and we can go from there.
