Headphones audio balance changes when adjusting the volume from the touchbar

I have Apple M1 macOS Monterey 2020, os version 12.4

When I have my headphones connected (Sony, bluetooth) and adjusting the volume from the touchbar, it changes the headphone balance, but when I adjust the volume from the top bar (or from the music app), it doesn't happen.

This is really annoying, I can't use the touchbar when using the bluetooth headphones.

Hello AvishayG,

We see no one has responded to your post yet. Here are a couple of things that might help others answer your question:

  • Does this issue happen in a specific app? If so, which app(s)? If all apps, the issue may be related to Settings or software on the Mac. If specific apps, open the App Store and make sure all your software is up-to-date.
  • Does the problem happen with only that Bluetooth device? If so, you may want to contact the manufacturer of those headphones directly for assistance. They may be able to offer guidance for their hardware.
  • Restart your Mac. We know this sounds like a simple step, but sometimes a fresh restart can correct unusual behavior that pops up. Here's a guide to help: Shut down or restart your Mac - Apple Support.

Kind regards!
