light on Apple TV 4K blinks rapidly and will not power on

While watching our Apple TV 4K, it suddenly powered totally down. After unplugging and reconnecting the device to power, we got a slowly blinking light, then almost immediately, it started blinking rapidly and the device appears to be powered off. What can I try? Our television says there's no signal, just as it does if the device is turned off. The remote does absolutely nothing. I have now connected it directly to my network via CAT6 cable, in case the firmware somehow became corrupted. I am open to any suggestions, and thanks in advance.
