Just purchased a A1595 lightning to SD card reader, plugged it into my Ipad Pro 10.5 and nothing happens. What can I do to make this work?

I noticed that since I upgrade to iOS 16 it no longer shows up on my iPhone 13 mini. I’ve tried it on my daughters iPhone 12 iOS 16, same issue. OTG support for iPad mini? IPad mini does ( in fact ) have a USB-C connector not Lightning for charging as someone stated on an earlier post. But does it actually support USB? I purchased a SDXC card and a Compatible Card Reader which works on my MAC mini but nothing happens when I insert it into the iPad. The instructions with the reader specify OTG support required. Can I get this for the iPad?

Does iPhone 13 support unpowered SD card reader I have an unpowered micro-SD card reader. It used to work fine on my iPhone 11 and it still works with my 9.7” 5th Gen iPad. I have not been able to get it to work with my iPhone 13 pro. I read somewhere that beginning with iPhone 12, the lightning port no longer provides USB power through lightning port. If true, that explains my problem, question is, will a powered SD card reader work with my iPhone 13 pro?

With introduction of iPadOS the import photos prompt doesn’t now occur. Instead, you should be able to simply import using the native Files App.
