OTG support for iPad mini?

IPad mini does ( in fact ) have a USB-C connector not Lightning for charging as someone stated on an earlier post. But does it actually support USB? I purchased a SDXC card and a Compatible Card Reader which works on my MAC mini but nothing happens when I insert it into the iPad. The instructions with the reader specify OTG support required.

Can I get this for the iPad?

Sorry I see that person was referring to an iPad mini 5th gen. I have an iPad mini 6th gen. (2021) which does have USB-C for connecting the charging cable. I found another post that directed me to how to access my files on my Beikell Card adapter and a SanDisk 64GB SDXC UHS-1 memory card containing my Music files. With the guidance from Apple, below… It works! Now I need to figure out how to send it to my Apple TV and play it on my stereo.
