iMac (27-inch, Late 2013) as second monitor

I currently have an iMac (27-inch, Late 2013) model and I'm looking to buy a new MacBook Pro 13-inch. However, I would like to use my current iMac as a second monitor. Would that be possible? If so, what will I need to get it set up?

iMac 27″, macOS 10.15

No Mac newer than 2019 and no Mac with an Apple Silicon processor can use a TDM-supported iMac:

Use your iMac as a display with target display mode
