How can I create an Avery Label Template from scratch for Mac Book Pro?

Hi Apple Support Community!

I'm sorry to ask this question but I am not very computer savvy and even less so with my new Mac Book Pro. I have been a pc girl for years. Would someone be willing to walk me through this step by step? I simply need a basic template so that I can create my on file folder names and from time to time create mailing labels. I need a very dumbed down step by step guide. Lol! Thank you for understanding and for any one who is willing to help. I'm super overwhelmed but really want to learn my MAC!

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.4

In case anyone else finds they have this question.... as Jimmy suggested - go to the Avery website. At the top of the page there is link called Template. Click that link and then type in the Avery Label number you want to create. Avery make it easy! You'll download the template right from their site. They also have a great little video tutorial to walk you through the process! Good Luck! Thanks for this platform and for all the help from everyone! : )

What wasn't touched on here is that Avery (in the U.S.) provides existing templates in Pages document format that you can open and then save as a new template. At the Avery site, click the Templates menu, and choose Find a Template. Arbitrarily, select Address & Shipping Label templates. You will see an image sample of the template number, and each will offer a WePrint link at the bottom of the label image box.

By clicking the WePrint link, you are taken to the following web page, where after you click the yellow Pages icon, you are presented with a download link for that Pages template.

I'd reach out to Avery, you'd hit a wider group of Avery users.

all that aside questions about Mac OS or iOS, or Apple Devices or any of the apps that come out of the box with them a this is a good place to ask. I'm not telling you not to ask Avery questions here, you just may not get a response because it's a really specific question about a really specific piece of software.

the only time I've made label templates is using Adobe Illustrator, and if you dont know it you may be super overwhelmed trying to figure it out, along with $40 poorer a month for subscribing to Adobe Creative Cloud.

Go to Avery.com.

Click on Templates.

Choose Templates from the two item menu that opens.

Enter the Avery product number in the search box, or click the Labels button* to search by the label dimensions.

Pick your template, then click the Apple Pages icon to choose the Pages file format download it to the MBPro.

The template will be downloaded to your Downloads folder.

For Mailing labels, take a look at Avery's Design and Print service. This free service will take addresses sent from Contacts and either produce a downloadable file from which you can print labels to your printer, or will provide an on line filled label sheet which you can print directly from the site. (It's been a while since I last used this service, so I'm not sure which of thee is the final product.)

Regards,

Barry
