There was an apple watch left at my place of business several months ago. I have charged it several times to see if they are searching for it. However no one has come in asking. The watch is locked and I was wondering if there is a way to locate the owner.

it sounds like you’ve done eveything to assist the owner in finding it to no avail.
As it’s been several months, you should simply turn it over to the business’ management for eventual recycling.

then there is nothing you can do,hand it in to the local police.
It is an unfortunate waste of what’s likely a perfectly good device …
… but w/o activation lock as a theft-deterrant, we’d all be crushed under the burden of device theft.
We are the owners of the business. Is there any way to re-set it or anything? I dont know the password to unlock it. I dont know who left it. But it has been 2-3 months I have been holding it for them. It looks brand new.
Only the original owner can remove the activation lock,full stop.
