My iPhone 8 is still showing it’s transferring for 1 minute

Im transferring to an iPhone 11pro max and my old on is an iPhone 8 Plus, I can use the 11 but on the 8 it still is showing it’s transferring for 1minute. How can I fix that or is there a way?

You should prepare your old phone as if it’s being sold to a stranger …

… and then completely set it up for the new user.
