Transfer email folders & contents to a new computer.

I would like to transfer all of my email folders + contents from my 2012 iMac 27(Catalinaa 10.15.7) inch to my new 24 inch M1(Monterey 10.3.1). The aim is avoid an intollerable amount of typing.Is there a way to do this? pleas help! Keith Gould (igloo).

iMac 24″, macOS 12.3

Thankyou for your advice. I will try that as I have TM external discs on both machines. When setting the M1 up I followed the on screen advice of using MA & Wifi to transfer all data & it did not work fully as you have stated. Thenks again Keith Gould (igloo).
