where is Find Items ?
I'm trying to link my Apple Watch 6 running 8.5.1 to an Air Tag but there is no
Find Items app on the watch. I only have Find My Devices. ( There is no Find People App either.) Am I missing something ?

You can't set up an AirTag with an apple watch.
You need to first:
Set up your AirTag using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Then you can see the location on the apple watch
Locate an AirTag or other item in Find Items - Apple Support
