restore files from backup
I recently brought my computer to the genius bar, they wiped it in order to upgrade the software. now I want to restore my files from my external hard drive. how do I do that?

Thanks for your help Jack - I wanted to access another drive and got this message - not sure how to proceed... does this mean a backup is running in the background and I can't access it until finished? thanks again!
You can’t open the application “Migration Assistant” because it is in a Time Machine backup.
