Ok a little back story on it . I have two emails and they both are being used by iCloud . The one I want to use from my old phone I just had is the Apple ID email connected to iCloud back up which is the one I’d like to use . The current Apple ID I Set on my new phone isn’t giving me the right back up and I need to change that . So if I just rest my new phone can I just start all over and use the right Apple ID? Or do I have to delete the Apple ID on my old phone in order to free it up to be used on my new phon? If that makes any sense…

Your Apple ID can be used on several devices at the same time and it will synch between them, so use the one that matters!

You can see which devices are logged in to an account, and remove any you no longer need, in your Apple Account settings online. When people forget to do this, and sell their Apple devices, that's why they are still 'locked' to a user account and can't be activated.
