I am trying to send a large group text from iphone/and or imac to approximately 50 people. I do not want everyone to get replies. Some people have android or don't use imessage. How do I do this? I tried WhatsApp and some people never got it

You don't. A mixed group like that is restricted to 10 recipients. You are better off using email for larger groups like that or an app that would support larger groups. The native app will not support that many recipients, and group messages will return to all. Again, email to blind recipients would allow everyone to just reply to you as the sender.

Thanks Chris. The problem is that I only have their cell numbers. So email won’t work. I am selling a product to a bunch of people at work. Any advice on a free 3rd party app?
I'm not a user of any, so I could not give you a recommendation. Unfortunately, SMS is not intended to be used in that fashion to be sent to large numbers of users at once. Do a search of the App Store and you should be able to see a list of possible apps.
