Remove Activation Lock on the device.

Remove Activation Lock on the web if a device is offline.

1. Go to www.iCloud.com/find.
2. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
3. At the top, click All Devices.
4. Select the device that you want to remove from iCloud.
5. Click Remove from Account.

Apple Hardware Purchase History:

1. Click ▶︎ Apple online store.
2. Click on the item from the list that appears.
3. View or print this page (invoice).

If you purchased the iPhone in the US, call 1-800-MY-APPLE to see if they can help provide you proof of purchase. If you purchased the phone outside the US, go to your country's apple.com page, and scroll to the bottom of the page. There should be a contact number there.
