I just bought a mac mini M1. Found that the keyboard frequently lagging, sometimes unresponsive up to a few seconds.
Same problem even if I use a wired keyboard connected directly to USB C port.
I have read related post on same topic in this forum 2021 but cannot find a solution.
Is there any setting or driver that I might be missing?

Keyboard also lags with another user account. Keyboard lagged twice in 17 minutes in the last game I played, a big handicap.
