I have an imac late 2013 which had the fusion drive replaced with an evo seagate 4Tb SSD drive, at the time I split it into 2 2tb drives but now want to remove the partions and just have the one drive.
Using disk utility will not let me resize or remove these partions and could do with so help as how I can achieve this using terminal instead.
Backup the 4T SSD.
Startup in macOS Recovery Mode.
Erase and Reformat the SSD back to 1 4T Partition.
Reinstall macOS and either Restore or Migrate from your Backup.
Backup the 4T SSD.
Startup in macOS Recovery Mode.
Erase and Reformat the SSD back to 1 4T Partition.

Tried to erasedisk in terminal but failed
You can not simply add the second partition back to the first partition.
You need to use Disk Utility in macOS Recovery Mode to completely reformat the entire SSD.
I did not add anything
diskutility will not do anything on the. Ssd
just done diskerase in terminal and it has reformatted the ssd back to 4tb
