non bluetooth headphones

Hello i have aftershock waterproof headphones that can only play unprotected mp4 files on them as bluetooth does not work in the water. I can only synch some of my music file in unprotected format even when i purchase the song i can't seem to get an unprotected files to export so i can synch to my headphones? i thought if i own the file i can use it on any mp4 player?

for example i just bought the red hot chili new album but i cant export it unprotected? do i still have to buy CDs and import ?

If you add content from Apple Music to your library and then later purchase the same album, or you have enabled lossless downloads (Mac only), then the file on your computer may not be compatible with your third party products. Use the Songs view and check the Kind column to make sure that you have an ACC audio file rather than an Apple Music file that you cannot use. It may be necessary to remove Apple Music tracks, unhide purchases if hidden, and then redownload copies of the purchased items.
