Can't move MP3 audio book from Music to Audiobooks in iTunes

I have an old MP3 audio book in several folders. In the File Explorer folder I right clicked the individual files "Open in iTunes" => In iTunes "Album Info" I marked every file under "Details" Track 1 of 9, 2 of 9 etc.

Under "genre" it automatically shows "Audio book" and artwork shows correctly.

.....however in the "Options" under "Album Info" I can't change it to "Audio book" and it only shows up on my iPhone in the Music.

How can I move the book to Books?

Hmm. Which version of iTunes? Microsoft Store or standalone installer? Is audiobook an option when you only have a single track selected? Are you able to make other metadata changes to the same track that stick? See Repair security permissions for iTunes for Windows - Apple Community if that's not the case.

At the beginning of the article:

With iTunes 8 or later you have the option to tell iTunes to treat any audio file as an audiobook. Simply select the tracks, Get Info., then on the options tab set Media kind to Audiobook. You can also set options to Remember playback position and Skip when shuffling.

Following your link I did This PC > Music > iTunes

Right click iTunes

iTunes Properties > Security > Permissions > Advanced Securities Settings For iTunes > Permissions > and checked the Replace all child permission objects.... > Apply > OK

Mission accomplished and Audio book is now in Audio books on iPhone

There is no Options => media kind => Audio book

Are you using iTunes for Windows, or Music on a Mac running macOS 10.15 or later? With the Music app on newer versions of macOS you need to organize your metadata in Music, then drag and drop the files into the Books app to import them. Books will make new copies of the files in a hidden folder, and lacks options for editing metadata.
